My bowls are finished with a food safe finish that enhances the beauty of the wood. With proper care, wooden bowls will achieve a beautiful patina over the years.
If the bowl is to be used for food service, before the first use and after each use, hand wash with warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid soaking the bowl and NEVER put the bowl in the dishwasher. Occasionally, if the bowl looks or feels dry, apply a coat of walnut oil or mineral oil, these can be found in many supermarkets
